Ryan Cameron began his training at the United States Military Academy (West Point) Martial Arts Team in 2006 under Grand Master Ji Ho Choi. While in school, Ryan competed on the collegiate level in the North East as well as national and international collegiate competitions. Ryan has been training in Olympic Style Taekwondo for over 11 years. Upon graduating, Ryan spent 11 years in the Army as Logistics Officer, instructed Taekwondo and fought while deployed to Iraq, and has expanded has experience to include training in Boxing, Wrestling and Army Combatives.
Melissa is an 11 year old 6th grader at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School. She has been training in Olympic Style Taekwondo for 7 years, and just recently earned her 2nd degree black belt from Master Javier Sanchez. Melissa assists with all of our courses and provides a wonderful example for our young students. She has competed at many local, district and state level competitions and has qualified for National competition.
Master Javier Sanchez began his training at the Won Park Institute of Taekwondo in 1986 under Grandmaster Won Chik Park. He was the chief instructor at Grandmaster Park's Fort Worth school before opening the Sanchez Taekwondo Institute in 2004.
Master Sanchez is an international competitor. He won the gold medal at the United States Senior National Championships after only nine years of Tae Kwon Do experience, and was part of the 2012 AAU National Team. He also qualified to compete for USAT and AAU teams at the AAU and USAT Nationals.
MJ is KTMA’s Senior Instructor. He is a 22 year old 4th year student at the University of North Texas where he is majoring in Kinesiology. He has been training in Olympic Style Taekwondo for nearly ten years; training under Master Javier Sanchez. MJ is a top level national competitor as well and has earned many medals in sparring and forms. He has also studied Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Boxing. He brings a very high-energy to his classes along with high expectations in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
